ya, the cap of 10 was one of the dumbest things, anet could do... and even when making a cap of max 1 Minion per Rank would have been best then , so having r16 would mean, that the MM can have max 16 Minions, but only 10 is total shit and killed the whole fun factor of being a MM

Another possible explanation to this is that after rasing 2 minions with the summon spell the 2 that were bumped off by the limit cap both had jagged bones cast on them bringing 2 more minions up. This may have allowed the cap to be exceded as they might not count as a sumoning and trigger the cap deletion of minions.
